Brows: CoverGirl brow & eye makers (011J – Midnight Brown).

Lips:

Victoria’s Secret Perfect Lipstick in Showstopper (bright blue-red). NYX Cosmetics Round lipstick in Eros (bright orange-red). Urban Decay Lip Junkie lipgloss in Jilted (deep red with blue/purple micro-shimmer).

Step One: Create Your Canvas

Apply your face primer, allowing it to settle into your skin for about a minute. Next, use a foundation brush to paint on your foundation. Then use a stippling brush to tap the pigments evenly across your skin. Set t-zone with matte powder. Sweep a little highlighter down your nose, across your forehead, and on the bridges of your cheeks. Then swirl on some bronzer in the hollows of your cheeks and blend it in a 3 shape around the outside of your face. Blush in the photo is minimal and super blended. Use a light peach shade and blend it onto the upper part of your cheeks. Even though your making a dark eye, don’t worry about the fallout – we’ll be packing the color on carefully!

Step Two: Prime The Eyes

Apply eyeshadow primer. We’re using one with a gold shimmer because it will really warm up anything applied on top of it. Next apply NYX Milk to the inner half of your eye. Make sure there is enough to blend it out evenly but not too much that it will crease. The white should still be fairly opaque.

Use your ring finger in a gentle tapping motion to blend out the shadow pencil across the inner two-thirds of the lid and down onto the tear duct.

Step Three: Create the Shape

Use a stiff, pointed brush to brush Perversion along the outer 1/3 of your lash line. Bring that line up to a point and then in to shape the outer 1/2 of your crease. It doesn’t have to be perfect, but the basic shape should be the same on both sides.

Step Four: Pack on the Color and Blend

Use a dense flat brush to pack Oil Slick into the V. Apply Polyester Bride to the inner 2/3 of the lid and as a highlight on the tear duct area. Use Perversion to lightly line above the lashes. (Perversion has less fallout than Oil Slick for this.) Take Gunmetal on a fluffy shadow brush and work it into your crease, from the edge of the black shadow, reaching all the way to the inner corner.

Step Five: Liquid and Pencil Liner

Over Perversion and as close to your lashes as possible, line the eyes using Line Stiletto. There’s no need to extend the line beyond your natural lash line, since the V shape has already been created.

Using Ulta Automatic Eyeliner, line both your top and bottom waterlines. Smudge the liner on the outer 1/4 of of your lower lashes.

Step Six: Brows

Jessica’s brows start out square and follow a more defined arch. Use CG Brow & Eye Makers pencil in short, light strokes to shape and fill in brows. Keep them fairly natural looking, since the rest of the look is so dramatic.

Step Seven: Mascara

Apply two full coats of MAC Opulash to your upper lashes. For bottom lashes, I like using sample mascaras, like the deluxe sample of Diorshow Extase I have, since their handles are shorter and there is less product on the brush.

Step Eight: Red Lips

Apply Showstopper with a lip brush, making sure to keep a similar rounded shape to Jessica’s. Brush NYX Eros onto the middle of both your top and bottom lips (this will give it a more orange tint). Dab Jilted onto your bottom lip and the middle of your top lip.

And Voila!
