NOTD: The Show Must Go On + Firework

13 Aug

Kleancolor Firework over OPI The Show Must Go On (indirect sunlight)

*drools*

I bought Firework a few weeks ago, but hadn’t been able to find the right polish to layer it over. It’s got an orange tinted base that doesn’t go with a lot of other polishes. Finally I picked TSMGO because it has that gorgeous gold/red duochrome to it, which I thought would complement the orange in FW without using an orange polish. Hooray for glittery goodness!

For some reason this mani reminds me of Ponyo:

Polishes Used (In Order):

1 coat of Seche Vite Base Coat

2 coats OPI The Show Must Go On (Burlesque Collection)

1 coat Kleancolor Firework

2 coats Seche Vite Top Coat

NOTD: Kleancolor Red Sparkle

24 Jul

Sunlight

Kleancolor Red Sparkle nail polish is uh-maze-ing. It’s a silver glitter suspended in a red jelly base. It takes 3 coats to get this opaque (waiting between each coat for it to dry for an even application). In real life it appears a bit darker, like a blackened red jelly, and the sparkle looks red through the base color, but as you can see in the bottle, the glitter is really silver. This is a really unique color in my collection, but as anyone will tell you, the drawback to Kleancolor is that it STINKS. Like, really bad. But dang, it’s worth it. 🙂

Check out that sparkle!!
